Connecticut Housing Shortage

Connecticut is facing a serious housing shortage that is inflating costs and making it harder for young families, seniors, and working people to stay in the communities they love. In towns like East Haven, we are feeling the pressure as rents and home prices continue to rise while available housing remains limited.

If elected, I will work with local leaders, regional partners, and state officials to responsibly increase housing opportunities that fit our communities — including affordable and workforce housing - while protecting neighborhood character.

We need smart, balanced solutions that expand options, support economic growth, and ensure that Connecticut remains a place where people can live, work, and build their futures.

Karen's Position on Senate Bill 1

As a healthcare professional for 40 years, I have seen exactly what happens when people are left without the support they need. Do I agree with every single line in a massive bill like Senate Bill 1?
